Tahini is a paste of ground sesame seeds used in North African, Greek, Turkish, and Middle Eastern cuisine. It can be used for dressings, dips, or as the secret ingredient in your hummus.
*Makes 1 cup
Ingredients:
1 c Tahini (Sesame Seeds)
2 tsp Olive Oil
½ c Water
2 tsp Olive Oil
½ c Water
Directions:
(For raw tahini, skip step #1)
1. Toast sesame seeds on a pan with no oil. Stir seeds over medium heat until golden.
2. Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. For a thinner paste, add water until you’ve reached the desired consistency.
