I enjoy drinking herbal tea or just sipping on warm water in the mornings, so I used to carry a thermos around with me. A typical thermos carries only about 1.5 cups of water and is no heatable, as it is usually made of plastic and metal materials. One day, when I had a cold and needed plenty of warm water to get me through the morning, I grabbed a jar (of which there are plenty in my collection) and filled it up with warm water before heading to work. I was glad that it carried nearly 3x’s the amount of water, but it was too hot to hold. What to do… hmm… a sock! So, I put an old faded sock around it and carried it with me.
After using that jar for nearly 6 months, I finally left it at a rehearsal and it was long gone. I grabbed another jar and slipped one of my favorite socks (from my sister-love) on it. I will never buy another cheap thermos. I love it and I’m always approached by others who are intrigued by it. 🙂
